Dicasarin

Last week I went to Dicasarin a private beach of the Senator. It was so so so beautiful! We only spent a few hours there because we all had to work that day (we left home at 6:00 a.m and got back at 10:00 a.m) but it was well worth the early morning.
The beach is white sand, a private cove framed by rolling mountains covered with lush green palm and coconut trees. On top of one the hills sits a "lighthouse." Coming from Maine, I would say that this is more of a modern piece of art, a sculpture so to speak, but I guess there is a light on top of it so
me on the lighthouse
technically it is a lighthouse, or a "light building." Tehehe. <.^ <-- (Vietnamese smiley face for ya. I can't even tell you how many times I got one of those faces via text instead of the standard :) I'm pretty sure it is impossible to make a face like <.^... try it) I climbed halfway up the lighthouse before my friends basically had a heart attack and told me I couldn't go up any further because I would fall.
Besides scaling buildings, I collected seashells, took long walks on the beach (joking), and sunbathed on the shore, just letting the tide wash up over my legs. There is no swimming allowed– the undertow is really strong. In December two Canadians got swept out to sea and drowned because they tried to swim. I honestly think if I didn't know that I would have tried swimming because that is just me thinking that I am a better swimmer than the average Filipino/Asian (surprisingly a lot of Southeast Asians, especially girls, don't know how to swim) but since the victims were citizens of my neighboring country I did not want to even go in above my waste. The rip current was really strong! I'm hoping to go back to Dicas again to spend more time– maybe next week with my sister! Yay yay yay.
There were lots of seashells.
Hey Hannah, if we go here you can take more
pictures of this rock. #geolove
