Delicious Street Food

Finally I have collected enough photos of cheap, mouthwatering street food. Be jealous.

The noodle lady stationed right across our guesthouse. She only serves at dinner time. Price: 17,000 dong
eggs, some sort of leafy vegetable, onions, hot sauce, and soy sauce.

banh mi trung. My favorite lunch food. Price: 11,000 dong.
fried eggs,  vegetables, soy sauce, and hot sauce on a baguette.
che dau hu– sweet tofu. Right outside of the University. Price: 5,000 dong
thin slivers of tofu, ginger syrup, tapioca balls, and sweet
coconut milk. Served warm.
The famous lady lunch. Everyday of the week she serves up a different
specialty– usually is some sort of pho. Price ranges from 10,000– 25,000 dong.
lady lunch's trusty sidekick.
pho!
Hooray! Another che lady. My favorite is the che dau trang– black eyed
peas rice pudding. 5,000 dong.
sweet rice & black eyed peas with coconut milk.
noodles in a bag man! He is right outside the University.
You simply point to what you want to go into the bag and
then he mixes it all up. 10,000 dong.
Mikala saying không to the spices. That means no in case you
couldn't figure that out from her body language.
noodles in a bag!
rice noodles, vegetables, extra peanuts, shrimp, quail egg, soy sauce, spices.
A new favorite street vendor. I just found her a few days ago. I decided it had
to be good since there were lots of people sitting around her, many of them wearing
business suits. Always a good sign. It was down pouring when we got there so we all
huddled under the umbrella. Apologies for a not so great photo. Price: 17,000 dong.
Fish, snail, crab, quail eggs with thicker noodles
hello to more che! I was so excited to eat my che I forgot to document it.
It had yams, banana, tapioca balls, covered with sweet coconut milk.
Price: 10,000 dong– pretty steep for che.
Alex examining a new type of che (che means it is some sort of dessert)– it was dried bananas with
peanuts and coconut milk. It may be a new favorite of mine! We were so excited about our che
that we crashed some red stools and ate it right on the street instead of bringing it back
to the University. Guess that's why it's called street food.
